I am going to take down my 72G Salt tank. Can I store my live rock and sand. I know it will not be live no more but just want to have it in case I want to start again one day?. Or do i need to sell it and start completly over when I get ready to start again.

yes, you can dry it an reuse when you startup.

I would get rid of the sand and just use new sand when the time comes that you want to start up again.
Brown algea has just gone wild with no return. Also dont have the time for it. I have a 9 month old and she like to run into it and likes to hit the glass. So i decided a restart later on would be a good ideal.
