I'm planning a 120gal tank now (and in the process of pricing it) so I'm also making a list of fish. The tank will start FOWLR but I'm guessing I will move to Reef after about a year.

Anyway, would a Convict Tang be a good addition to a 120? Would it pick on snails, other fish, or shrimp? I know I can only have one Tang or they will fight.. Here's a link.

Thanks!

I don't see why you couldn't keep one. It shouldn't bother your snails or shrimp.

Hi Steppa,

I have a convict tang in a 75 gallon tank. I have him with a maroon clown, a firefish and a couple much smaller damsels and he gets along great with everyone. The clown is the meanest fish in the tank.

I also have all sorts of different shirmp in there with him as well and he doesnt pay them any attention.

He loves all sorts of macroalgae and eats like a horse. He also eats both flake and frozen shrimp.
