My son fed betta food to green chromis. Can this adversely effect them, I now have three dead and was wondering if that could be the cause? I can see their excrement and it is red. Is this a by product of the Betta food?

The food contains
Fish Meal
Ground Brown rice
dried yeast
shrimp meal
FD brine shrimp
potato protein
dehulled soybean meal
fish oil
soymean oil
sorbitol
alge meal
lecithin
l-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate
red no.3
ethoxyquin as preservative

If this is bad for them what is the best coarse of action to help them ?

We have the same thing happen to use. Our 4 year old daughter tried to help with feeding. She dumped the whole container in. It did not affect the fish. They were fine. It sounds like it could be another issue.

Sorry for the double post, accidentally sent the message before I was done :)
