I am planning to buy and set up a 300 gallon saltwater FOWLR. I would love to get acrylic due to light weight, however, two of my fish will be puffers. Dogface and Spiny. Everyone says they will scratch the heck out of the acrylic so either no puffers or go glass. Any thoughts on this? I have a 120 glass right now.

I always liked the look of acrylic tanks for the reason theirs no seams .

the only downfall I myself don't like is how the top is designed with that 3 inch lip all the way around the tank .

it limits access into the tank that I feel could make it harder to clean.

my only other concern would be scratching , after how I scratched the glass on my 90g tank with a mag float , I would hate to see what it would do to acrylic ,

when I had my spiny puffer he never came close to the glass , I don't know if it was fear of my movement or just how he was .

I always wanted a dogface but after reading how big they can get I was deterred away as my tank would be to small
