Advice for new refugium

We are new to the aquarium hobby have a 75 g FOWLR tank that has been up and running since March 2011. We are adding a below the tank refugium. I want to have a place for tigger pods to grow for our scooter blenny. I am asking for advice pro and con for algae for the refugium.

if you want pods to grow chaeto macro is a good bet.

Tigger pods are cold water pods and won't grow in your fuge. You should go with algae in the sump, then you can have copepods and ampipods. Plus the algae removes nutrients from the main tank.
