Algae in live sand?

I actually have a twin spot goby and a mandarin. They are both healthy and eating. I didn't realize until after I got them that they were difficult to care for. My twin spot was skinny when I got him and has fattened up nice. My mandarin i think is just a pig cause he is ginormous. Guess I got real lucky. Have had them about 3 months.
 
Honestly I got them before I knew any better. If I knew then what I know now I wouldn't have got them, but I'm glad I did cause it worked out. At least so far :)
