Ammonia question

My tank has been set up about 9-10 months... I haven't checked the water lately n just did everything is at right level except the ammonia... I have checked it twice n the tub is just staying white!! What does that mean?

Ok now I used the chemical from my freshwater tank kit n it's reading 0ppm

N I just looked it up my tank is a year old now

It finally read 0 so I think my chemical mix is bad or something
