I started my first sw tank with a 29g 
I currently have a 29g biocube. Size is just right if you want to get a taste for saltwater tanks, at least in my opinion. It also will allow you to get more than 1 fish, LOL, a pair of clowns would be fine in a 30g with a couple other small fish.

What did you do for filtration?

I used an aquaclear 50 on the 29g regualr tank and the filtration is built in with the biocube. I did add media racks for the biocube though which I really like.
I added a skimmer, a remora hang on on the 29g reg tank after a while and it worked really well with the system I had in place.
