I have some florida LR that has a lot of coralline algae and plants. After about a month, the plants have all, mostly, turned white, and there is a lot of debris on this specific piece. When I do a PWC or stir the water, the junk goes all over.

Can I take out the rock and carefully scrub off the junk? It is suppose to be cured.

You best bet is to get a syphon hose and syhpon off al of the dead algae and other detrius thats accumulated on/in the rock.

Oh good idea! I think I will use a smaller hose next time I siphon. I have one and inch wide and i took out about 20 gallons of water in a minute.

What size do you suggest to get all of my junk on my sand but not toomuch water?
