Astraea snails growing?

Do astaea snails actually grow? I've had one for a year and a half and I thought he was full size. But now it looks like he's added a 1/4" to his shell recently. It's definitely bigger than it used to be and there is no coraline on the "new" shell.

Absolutley. Biggest one I've seen is at the LFS and was about 2.5" wide at the bottom.
