Best wetdry filter for a fowlr 80gal

Hi been out of hobby for 15 years could any one tell me the best wet dry to purchase for a 80 gal set up ??? Filter pads or micron sock ??? Can't get one to big due to stands only 24in was looking at the cr 1000 size was nice compared to the ehopps don't want one with a skimmer want to add a better one than they give you thanks

get the largest one you can fit in the stand, or get the largest glass tank you can fit in the stand and partition it yourself.
