Bicolor Angelfish/Maroon Clownfish compatibility
We have a 4" bicolor angelfish in a 45gal Fish Only tank as the only occupant. My wife is interested in acquiring a smaller (~2") yellow striped maroon clownfish as a tank mate.
I understand that Maroon clownfish are fairly aggressive and can grow 6", so would adding a maroon to this tank be ill-advised? Or would the established (and currently larger) bicolor angel be able to fend for itself? |

I would say IME that you would be OK. I had those two fish a good while back and did not have any problems with them. The only problems I ever had with my maroon clown is with other clowns.
