Black sand??

I'm thinking about redoing my 75g tank with black sand or that moon sand. Maybe it's the same thing. But I'm wondering how much I would need to make a good bed at the bottom. And what has you all heard of using the black sand? Any good?

Here's a decent calculator to determine how much sand you'll need to fill a given space.
