When one of my hermits was trying out new shells today I saw that it has this thing on its back. This thing was green and looked like a bunch of bubbles. It reminded me of an anenome or a bunch of eggs (it was fairly quick so i didnt get to look at it well).

Is it possible that this is a sac of eggs or maybe some kind of parasite? The fact that it was green throws me off and I dont know how they reproduce... Thanks.

He could have molted. I have never seen one, but they have a "foot" that helps them stay in the shell. My friend told me about his hermit's "foot/tail", sorry, I am not sure what it is called.

If it were eggs, it would be underneath on the belly side, not the back. It may just be the body of the hermit. They look quite strange!!
