Blue painted lobster!

I know all about these guys and how big they get. And Ive always wanted one and today I found one!!!!

Cool.L used to have a hawaiian pink,but it died after about 18 months when it had some trouble shedding

Gorgeous, I saw a few of those and did a little research on them. I don't think I can have one in my tank. Good luck, keep us posted as he gets fatter and bigger LOL.

what are his compatability size and feeding reqirements

They get very very large can get up to 2 ft body and the antennas are usually twice that size if nothing eats them.

And I feed him krill. They will eat anything though. He will knock over rocks and corals so they aren't good for reefs. Best for a fowlr

Are there any smaller reef safe lobsters

A purple reef lobster is going to be the best one. They get to about 4 inches ive never had one myself though.

Are they aggressive

Reef safe with caution. They are just clumsy and will climb all over stuff and I can imagine it going after some inverts. Again I'm not positive ive never had one

You are very lucky to have found such a beautiful crab...have you named him yet?

Nope not yet. I was thinkin Larry the lobster but I really haven't named any of my saltwater fish. I'm gonna do that tomorrow! Lol
