Unhappy Bought used 55 gal salt water set-up can't get water to pump. Help!

We just bought a used system. 55 gal with 15 gal sump, skimmer and a little giant pump. This is our first salt water tank attempt. We hooked it all up the way we thought it should work and the water wont pump. Not sure if the pump isn't working or if we are doing something wrong. can someone help us?

Step back take a deep breath and enjoy the moment. You are home free! Look up how to cycle your new tank on this site and read as many topics as you need to. Remember nothing fast happens in this hobby except mistakes.

Yes years ago I had a HOB overflow and had to siphon the tube. Many a time had a mouth full of SW. LOL. Welcome to the site.
