Brittle Star Missing Arms!!!

Does anyone know what would cause a brittle star to lose its arms (or tentacles)?! All of my parameters are fine, and nothing else in my tank is showing any signs of changes. Any help is appreciated. thanks

Kind of hard to say but if your water is good he will grow the leg back.

I did the drip method of acclimation. Ive had him in my tank for about 3 months now though, and this is the first time it has happened. Water parameters are fine, hopefully they will grow back . . .
