So for the past two weeks i been going through the brown diatom stage in my fowlr tank. It doesn't seem to be getting any better. I'm tired of looking at dirty sand . How long does it usually last. I'm using a aquaglo bulb could that be making it worse? I turn the light on before work at 7 am and off at 8. Should I cut back on the time the light is on?if i do that will it still be ok the feed in the morning with the light off. I have some nassarius snails but I'm not sure how many haven't been eaten yet I was thinking about buying ten more. It's a 75 gallon temp is 80 ammo 0 nitrite 0 nitrate between 5 and 10 ph 8.2.
