Calcium Levels

I would like to know what a normal range is for calcium levels. I have a 20g tank with lr,ls,fish and inverts. I test for nitrates and ph levels and have had my water tested at my lfs. But no one has ever told me what a normal calcium level is.

I would say between 400 and 450. I keep mine closer to 500...

I keep mine between 400 and 450. Make sure your alkalinity is where it should be also. Mine runs about 4.5-5 meq/l here, but I'm thinking it's OK if it's above 3.5.

If you have a reef tank with sps or lps corals you want a calcium level between 400 -450. For a fish only or soft coral tank a calcium level of 350 is good for coraline algae growth.
