Can i ditch my canister?

Hello,

I have a eheim canister filter rated for 60g on a 55. I have about 65lbs of live rock and a sump which is mainly for water volume, a ball of chaeto, and a filter pad. I was wanting to take off the canister.. Can I do that with my current set up?
