Caulerpa Question
I have a very decent amount of caulerpa algae in my 50 gal sump. I have just noticed a bunch of little white spore looking things in the display tank and in the sump. They are about 1/4 inch in length, and remind me of a pure white sea apple in shape. I saw on here about this algae going "sexual". I have never trimmed it, as I was waiting for it to fill in the sump a little more. What is this? Any help would be great!

Calerpa needs to be pruned every so often and needs lighting 24/7. When it goes sexual the water will get cloudy or milky looking.I keep grape calerpa in my refuge. There is always some risk keeping calerpa.

oh, ok. I have 24/7 lighting. I use a flourescent version of a 100w flood light, and the stuff just took off with a growth spurt. There are pieces that break off and I put them in the display tank and the fish devour it immediately.
