Once my 12 gal. eclipse is cycled my first fish is an ocellaris clown, cute little fish and sooooo relaxing to watch!!!!! I only have live rock and a couple other decorations. I built a clear acrylic plant box that has 2 compartments that i can perch over some rock. I want to eventually buy a Shaving brush plant shown in fosters and smith that the clown would probably host since there is nothing else, but in the other compartment which is about 6 inches under the 13 watt bulb with mild water flow, is there any good candidates for a soft coral or anything that a clown fish would like? thanks for the help.

Maybe some mushroom corals. They are soft and cuddly. I have found that you can not make them host what you want. They will go where they want and it usually is not what you wanted. Here is some of my mushrooms so you can see what they look like.
