Clearing up sand

Just added a little over 200 pounds of sand to my tank. Now I have a chocolate milkshake looking aquarium. Any good ways to clear it up?

Just let it settle. It will probably take about 3-5 days. Did you rinse the sand before you added it?

No. Last time I put sand in a tank it didn't kick up like this

It`s always best to rinse the dust out of the sand but anyway it will still clear just take awhile longer. Good luck with the tank.

do you run carbon or sock or floss etc on your tank? that will help it clear up quicker

I replaced the filter cartridges with some floss

Throw in the Live Rock, and a filter, shouldn't take but a couple of days to clear up. Oh, and run your powerheads.
