I think my clown fish have been trying to mate for a couple weeks now, but nothing has happened.

If I get an anenome, would they be more likely to mate?

I have a 55gal tank and regular bulbs.

You`ll need more than regular bulbs for an anenome. They need high lighting to survive. T5`s or MH`s. Also there is no guarantee they will host the anenome. Mine totally ignored my anenome for other corals. It`s about a 50/50 chance IME.

depending on the type of anemone and the types of clowns you have... there is a lot of research in pairing anemone's to clowns.. figure out what kind of clown you have, then figure out what kind they are more prone to host to. but as said above... its not a 100% deal that they will host.
