Copper Testing?

How many of you have tested for copper? Ive been having a issue of my inverts staying alive. Ive used water from my 1st "old" tank to start up my 2nd "new" tank and I think there may be a trace of copper in it.

Is it best to do water changes to get the copper out or down, or should I use something to get it out completely????

I don't know that you can get it out completely but you can lower the levels.
I would get a copper test and test your water. If it is showing up, you can use:

How do you acclimate your inverts?
What are your water parameters?

Are using tap or RO, distilled or RO/DI water?

Use a polyfilter for immediate removal and GFO (Granular Ferric Oxide) carbon and/or Cuprisorb for longterm maintenance. As others have said, purchase a test kit and know for sure. What inverts are not staying alive for you and at what interval; acclimation could be a possibility?
