A large tank, lots of rock to graze on and good water quality. Getting a healthy eating specimen is key as well.

Thanks...
How about the stream?
It seems unhappy under the blower.

They do best alone. Cow fish release a toxin when stressed

Hi Bettaowner, unhappily you seem to be allright...
The cow died and carry five of the others with it, even beeing a tiny one.

I add a cowfish for about 8months even tho that isn't long in terms of being a professional but I had good success with him.. He didn't grow much in that time but he was a great fish.. He was housed with a variety of different fish.. Semi- aggressive and community he never had a problem with a bomb going off in my tank cuz he was stressed out.. Just make sure he is well fed .. He doesn't gave that name for nothing..
