Crab ate my scooter. :(

My hermit crab grabbed and killed my scooter blenny. I'm so sad, it was my favorite in the tank. The crab also took a chunk off my chocolate chip star. Should I get rid of this killer crab?

Did you see it actually grab your fish or just eating the dead fish? Also is it possible some thing else caused the starfish wound and then it ate on it after? I know you had a post a while back about your star having wounds.

No I did not see my scooter get grabbed by the crab but my kids said "scooter" was trying to get away. They saw it, I just fished out the body from the crabs claws.
My star got badly injured and lost a leg and a few chips on its back before it deflated and died.

That's a bummer. I love my little scooter. He reminds me a some sort of reptile.
