My CUC that I ordered has arrived and this is all new to me... Is it normal for Mexican Turbo snail to "latch on" to Astrea Snails and not let go?

I wouldn't worry about it. It will most likely detach and start cruising around your tank looking for algae to feed on. Have you acclimated them yet? Or are you in the process of that right now? Or did you do that already?

They have acclimated and are roaming about the tank...I just forcibly separated them. I've never seen that before..

Yeah you could do that too lol. Still, i'm sure it wouldn't have stayed on for very long. Not unless the astrea was dead.
