Most of the LR I have purchased has been cured. Over the weekend a LFS got in a shipment of Tonga LR that was really cool, however it needed some curing, it was kinda dank. Anyway, I bought 20# and brought it home and put it into buckets with PH's to "cure". Water stunk pretty bad Saturday night, much less so last night, very little tonight. I took a few pieces out to see how/if rank they were. Not bad at all. My question is, how long should I continue to "cure" these rocks before adding them to my reef tank?

THANKS.

Usually 4-6 weeks depending on the amount of die off and the eventual NH3, NO2 and NO3 levels. >>Here<< is a great article that will help.

Cheers
