im getting the copper out of my main tank using poly filters.i had the filters in for three days and were really blue.bought another one and its been 24 hours and they are very light blue.i have to pick up my lion fish tomorrow and they dont have a copper tester.heres the question.should i set up my 10 gallon that will be uncycled but free of copper or hope the copper is out of the cycled tank.id hate for anything to happen to a new fish

As long as the copper amounts aren't too high it shouldn't matter for fish. But pretty much you can never have inverts in that tank again
