Seaham is right on the money. I have a mark on my sump and I keep the water level. Remember that only water evaporates. Your salt stays in the tank so you want to add FW to the line to replenish the FW. I do mine daily

I just fill mine up to the same place, the bottom line of the top rim.

Age is relative, you are only as old as you act....of course, this works in reverse....
