We have a 5 month old 75G tank with live rock/sand. It was cycled using the live rock and has been stable with one shipment of critters 4 months ago: 2 feather dusters, a reef cleaner pac with hermit crabs, shrimp, snails, and 3 green crabs. Only two fish ... Clark clowns ... until this morning when the largest green crab was feasting on the smallest clown.

This crab is about 2 inches wide - much larger than the other two, although they started the same size.

Water parameters seem good and nothing looks sick.

Should we ditch the crab before adding new fish?

What else could have killed the clown?

Emerald crabs aren't really known to kill fish, but I guess they could if they wanted to. The clown probably just died and the crab is doing his job, cleaning up the tank. Sorry for your loss.
