Diatoms and corals

Should I add corals when I have a lot of diatoms? My tank is going through the "uglies" stage and is full of algae. Will it kill the corals?


Money can't buy happiness.... But I can buy fish, which is kind of the same thing.

Diatoms, most likely no, but other algae and cyano can. It all depends on if it smothers the corals and prevents the corals from getting light and flow.
