Do I have enough circulation in my 55g????

Wondering if I need any additional circulation equipment for my FOWLR setup....

CPR Bakpak2 w/ maxijet 1200
Aquaclear 500 w/ no media in it.

60lbs Fiji LR
50lbs CC

Nope...don't count the skimmer. At least 2 more maxi-jets 1200s in the tank.

IMO you need 550-660 GPH.

So would 2 maxi-jet 1200's or 900's be preferred? Also what does everyone suggest on the placement of these two PH's? ie.. corners, direction of output, etc..

In my 55 I have two Aquaclear 50's (actually renamed 402's) in my tank... one on each side pointed towards each other to create a bit of turbulence. I probably still need atleast one more for more flow at the bottom of the tank but haven't gotten that far yet.

I think I"m going to go with the Maxijet 1200 & 900. Thanks for all the input.

Matt, point them straight so they bounce off the front of the tank this should help with the flow in the bottom....

Ya the one points kinda forward (and is in the back corner) and the other points backwards and is in the front corner so both hit the glass.
