Help, there is a leak in my 20 gallon. I got the fish out, and I have a 29 Gallon empty tank. My HUGE question is, can I just fill up the tank with my old saltwater from the 20g and mix it with new water. I am going to use the same live sand and live rock. My nearest fish store went out of business, and the nearest one is like 50 miles away. I cannot wait a week for a nitrogen cycle, so if I put in some of my existing water, do I still have to wait??
Thanks in advance!!

Its not so much water, but bacteria, which is on deco, rocks, sand and that stuff, keep it all moist (30 min. Dry time kills the bacteria) and you should be fine

yeah you canb switch everythign over to your 29G, just move the rock and water and mix up some more.
