feather duster

Can anyone tell me if a feather duster looses its feather bit at the top(whilst i was away apiece of tiny rock fell on it and it came out)will it grow another one or is it dead and should be removed.Thanks,sue

If it loses the crown it will grow back, mine has done it a few times. Takes a week or so before you start to see the new one.
