about a month ago i got a 55 gallon tank on sale and started to work on the switch to the new 55 from the old 29. Here are a few pictures of the setup day, and pics of the new tank....

I took the change with the cycle, because i used my LR from the 29 and got more LR from the my lfs, which is 5 minutes away. I took a bucket to fill with water and bring the rocks in to minimize die off. plus i got brand new sand and seeded it with sand from the old tank.

Tank is 55 gallons
65lbs of LR ( mix of fiji and florida rock with 2 tonga branches)
50lbs of sand, the live stuff. (was on sale)

Equipament is:
Whisper 60 filter, right now i have one side with purigen and the other with lr rubble.
4 powerheads... 2 Hydor Koralia 3's and 2 penguim
2 200W heaters
Bak Pak 2 skimmer ( on the way )

Looks really good, lots of open space between the rock. Awesome job!

Nice work! Changing over tanks is always a PITB but it sure is worth it when its done. Keep up the good work.

nicely done, I like the scaping. What else is going in there?

Thanks, right now i am not sure what else i might add, i am waiting on the skimmer and just giving the tank a chance to settle a bit. i have 2 peppermint shrimps in there, so i may pick up 2 more in about a week, along with a skunk cleaner.
