flame hawk fish feeding question
My tank is finally in full swing (i'll have pictures up soon hopefully) and I just bought a flame hawk. He isnt eating the pellets that my LFS swears he loved. After about 3 days he still just watches them fall to the sand for the hermits and snails to eat. I got him some freeze dried shrimp, which he seems to like enough...
does anyone have any experience with what they like best? hopefully something not so expensive or hard to prepare? Thanks for your input.

My long nose hawk takes just about anything including flake. Mysis would be an excellet start. Try soaking in some garlic.
FYI, I hope you do not plan on many inverts such as shrimp. Flame hawks can and will feed on most inverts especially shrimp, which would take care of you feed ing problem. I thought I would be safe with a long nose, but 2 months later my cleaner shrimp is gone. HTH,
