Fowlr specs

I'm always seeing reef parameter post is there any difference in water specs for a FOWLR
For example everything I read about nitrates say 0-10ppm I can't get my FOWLR under a 100ppm to save my life.

A FOWLR system is much more forgiving with nitrates, but with ro/di water, a skimmer, and weekly water changes there isn't a reason to be able to get that number much lower.
