I was really wanting some type of lionfish for my 125 gal tank. The only thing is I am scared that it might eat some of my other fish. I have 2 blue-green chromis, 2 yellowtail damsilfish, 1 black sailfin blenny, 2 clownfish, yellow tang, foxface lo and two butterflyfish. Now I know that a volitan lionfish would do some great damage to those fish but would a fuzzy dwarf lionfish be small enough where it wouldn't eat any of those fish? Thanks

I'd be very wary to try it. Even the fuzzy dwarf gets to a substantial 7" or so and everything except for the tang, foxface and butterflies could be a potential meal.

I agree with Fluff and to note, even if they cannot swallow a prey item doesn't mean they won't try ;)

Lionfish will eat anything that fit in their mouth.

When my volitan was about the size of a dwarf he ate a decent-large sized clownfish in one gulp... it was very sad. :(
