Garlic Breath!

So garlic is suppose to be a good appetite stimulant in fish ... do I have to use the garlic specially made for fish or can I just soak some of there food with a clove of fresh garlic?

i use the garlic in a jar from the spice aisle and just use a dab and add to the frozen food, fish love it... ive read that you can also take a clove, chop it, and put it in some oil and let it set for a month or so and use a tad bit of that on the frozen foods.
