Had an ich outbreak, no fish for 6 weeks..my firefish was my first fish and he is still in my tank... I am setting up a QT this week to introduce the new fish to.

I know there should be no more ich but I want to make sure. Is there a medication that will not hurt inverts or LR just so i can be safe?

Hi,
I know about quarantine and lowering the salt and temp..BUT

What if my WHOLE tank gets ich again? I already lost 6 fish and have no fish now for 8 weeks (except firefish)

I cant QT all of my fish if the tank gets it or return all of the fish and do it again.

What should I do if that happens?

:p

The only way I know of is that you have to leave your main fishless for 8 weeks. This will break the cycle of the parasite and rid it in your tank. I`ve not heard too great of reviews on these miracle cures.
