Green algae starting to spread

Still fishless, but I now have quite a bit of green spots of algae showing up in different places. Mostly on my PvC return pipe and power heads. Is this normal?

Could be.. did you use tap water in your tank to set it up? A combo of that and lighting may be whats making the algae grow. Also too if you're cycling, the extra nutrients will sometimes cause algae blossoms

Nope, using RO/DI water. Should I just brush it off? Just making sure I have nothing to worry about
