Yes sry astrea snails and I went thru it a while back and they wouldn't leave each rock til it was completly gone actually pretty impressive how fast they ate it.

+1 they completely plow. Love those guys...but then I'm outta algae and I'm down to three and not 12. Oops.

Well 9 bucks worth of snails is a lot better then a couple hundred worth of corals lol.

Many moons ago when I had issues with hair algae I used a sea hare, cleaned the tank top to bottom in a couple of days. Only problem is it'll run out of food very quickly so it's handy to have somebody else to pass it on to.

To day I got the hair off by using a tooth brush it is all gone
