Help! About to give up on this

I feed mine every other day. He eats formula two marine pellets and I also clip some algae to the side of the tank that he grazes on. I'll post picks of the products.
 
Just don't rush it. There really are no short cuts. You have to build a stable environment and then slowly add things 1 by 1. I try to only do changes about every 30 days. Good luck!
 
If the sand bothers you that much, then I suggest getting a conch. They clean up the sand really well. Love mine!!
 
The flowrate that you want to aim for differs greatly depending on what type of tank you have. (fowlr, softies, stonies, etc) 50x in a fowlr tank is a bit excessive. 15-17x is quite common. Ive even seen tanks that run around 12-14x. Of course if you have high-flow corals, these flowrates wont suffice, but like i said before, it differs. As for the cyano, just as everyone else is saying, ride it out and youll be fine
