Help my sleeper goby died :(

I have a 75 fowler in it i have a yellow tang , hippo tang , two false clowns, coral beauty( i know about the size of my tank for the tangs ) and i had a slepper goby till today . My nitrates have been high about 40 ppm could this have been the cause ?

Most fish we get are wild caught so it could be a number of things as well as the nitrates.

I agree but i had him for about 5-6 months he was doing fine. He would b swimming alot till about two days ago he started to hide under his rock alot .
