HELP with horseshoe crab

Hi I have a horseshoe crab in my 125 fowlr tank I left almost all the sand bed open so he would be comfortable until I pick up his tank. So my question he is stirring my sand so much my tank is becoming cloudy if I put a coarser grain on top of it would that help? I can't pick up his tank until the first week in march as its located in another state. I know the care they require and the tank is appropriate for him as he will be alone in it. Thanks for any help

What kind of sand you do have in there now? Is it the fine aragonite sand?

You can try using a courser sand such as pfs or play sand ($5 for a 50 lb. bag from most hardware stores). The courser sand will settle more quickly, however there is the chance it could scratch your tank a bit more since the sand particles are larger. It's really up to you if you want to make the switch. I think it might help, but it just depends on how much sand the crab is kicking up etc.

Yeah try PFS. Just wash it before you add it to your tank so you can get the fine dust off of it.
