Help with quarantine tank...

I setup a 10 gallon tank for a quarantine...My LFS gives me awesome deals on fish but he has no saltwater tanks so I have to meet the delivery trunk and take them back to my house. I was going to go with no substrate and no live rock and im just using the water from my partial water changes of my 125...is this setup correctly? and how long should i leave the new fish in quarantine?
