I'd end up putting a knee or something into the glass...and there is a child. I'd be too worries 24/7.

And i do from time to time. Its been hit pretty good in the past. No issue. Ive also spent a great deal of time and money reinforcing it as well. Is what it is.

I bet water changes are hard being the tank is on the floor . I know I always had a hard time with my lower tank as I could never get a siphon going . I like the idea of the tank being a bar , do you keep a sump in the basement ?

No its no problem. I siphon downstairs into my laundry tub.☺the sump is actually behind the bar on the right hand side.

Doing my aquascape today! Gonna have 270 lbs of rock in there. Using acrylic rods and 2 part epoxy putty to hold it all together. Should be fun!

looks good but a few of those top rocks in the middle concerns me as they may fall
they don't seem secure if you understand where I'm going
