Just made 30 gallons r o / d i, check TDS and it was 71. Can I save this batch? I use a brute container and just usually rinse it out after each use what am I doing wrong

Do you mix your salt in same can ?
You test water before it goes in can maybe ?
If your RO/DI is shooting 71 your DI is long since shot and needs replacing.
My source water is 365 TDS and without DI I get it down under 20..
How old is your TFC membrane?

I do mix the salt in the same barrel, checked water in separate glass results 001 TDS. So I know now that the brute is the root of the problem. Question still is can I save this batch or do I dump it?

You think it is a 'chemical' from the brute and not just residual from previous make up?
I use four Brutes and my zero [RO/DI] brute is always zero.
Is the can new ?

If it's a salt barrel it's most likely just residual salt. A salt mix is like 800-900 tds
